If you'd like a clear picture at what a mess the Atlanta Hawks have had at point guard pretty much since Mookie Blaylock was traded to the Golden State Warriors, observe the 2011 NBA Finals. Not that you wouldn't anyway, because they're the Finals, and go Mavs.
Jason Terry was decent during his time here, but certainly not quite what he'd become in Dallas. The trade that sent him to Texas has been sufficiently lamented around here, but it's not likely Mike Bibby will be quite so sorely missed.
Though Bibby's addition has helped the Heat, the Hawks currently have a pair of point guards who are both younger and better, with one, Jeff Teague, looking to be the franchise quarterback the team has lacked since the 1990s. If history is any guide, however, he'll be paired up against Kirk Hinrich in the 2017 NBA Finals.
