So much for the Best Team Ever* to sweep their way through the NBA Finals. The cocky Miami Heat had one of those crass celebrations that epitomizes why they'll never be a beloved bunch of winners in Game 2 of the NBA Finals and then followed by blowing a 15-point lead, as the Dallas Mavericks rallied back for a stirring 95-93 win.
The series will go back to Dallas knotted at 1-1.
Two former Atlanta Hawks are representing the ATL well in the series. Mike Bibby has started both games at point and connected on 5 of 12 shots from the field, including four three pointers in the first two games. He has 14 points and six steals.
And Jason Terry continues to get the job done in the sixth man role. The 1999 Hawks first round pick netted 12 points in Game 1 and 16 points in Game 2. Terry has recorded a pair of rebounds and six assists. He has averaged over 31 minutes per game.
The Mavs and Heat lace up for Game 3 in Dallas on Sunday.
