NBA Lockout 2011: And This Is How Hawks.com Looks Now

As we'd expected, Hawks.com has transitioned to post-NBA lockout mode, and my is it grim. Gone are player sidebar images and stories about all players -- even minicamp invitees who don't have contracts -- and the centerpiece is a big black flag with the words LABOR CENTRAL. You can pretty much hear "Taps."

Here, take a look:

To Atlanta's credit, its site puts the labor stuff dead front and center, ahead of even the dance team. From what we know of our Hawks, it takes a whole lot to put anything ahead of the dance team. Look around at some other team sites -- a lot of them don't even have a word about the lockout on their home pages. Even though that Labor Central link tells the league's side of the story, it's better than pretending nothing is going on.
