The NBA lockout is keeping basketball away for the foreseeable future, but that doesn't mean basketball players aren't still being seen. The most recent sighting, at least involving ballers from Atlanta, happens in an adidas commercial starring Dwight Howard and Josh Smith.
Howard's ties to Atlanta come from his playing high school basketball at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy while Smith, a College Park native, played at the famed Oak Hill Academy before the two took their talents to the NBA.
Even though Smith stars for the Hawks while Howard is with the Orlando Magic, the two are still able to show off their home-state bind in the commercial embedded below the fold.
Oh, before clicking play, one might notice that the commercial also features Snoop Dogg even though his ties are obviously to the West Coast and not -- as the hip-hoppers say -- Hotlanta. This obviously means that there is no longer any beef among the coasts, right?
