The Atlanta Dream will be looking for their fourth consecutive victory as they complete their home and home series with the Connecticut Sun on Sunday. Atlanta overcame a 14 point first half deficit on Friday, rallying to defeat the Sun 94-88 in overtime. Angel McCoughtry scored 26 points and Sancho Lyttle 20 for Atlanta. Lyttle's three pointer with 12 seconds remaining was just the second of her career and sent the game into overtime.
At 13-12, Atlanta is currently riding a three game winning streak and have won 10 of their last 13 games after starting the season 3-9. By virtue of Seattle's win over New York last night in Lauren Jackson's return to the court, the Dream have now pulled to within one game of the New York Liberty for third place in the Eastern Conference entering play today.
A victory in Connecticut however may not be that easy to come by. The Sun are tied with Indiana with the league's best home record at 11-2. Atlanta lost its only previous trip to Connecticut this season 99-92.
Today's game is also the first of three straight on the road for the Dream who just completed a 3-1 road trip before returning home for Friday's win. Atlanta will also make stops in Chicago and Indiana this week before returning home next Tuesday. Including today's matchup, Atlanta has nine regular season games remaining with five of those being on the road.
