Sun Vs. Dream Score: Angel McCoughtry Scoreless In First Half, Atlanta Trails 36-31

Asjha Jones scored 10 points as Connecticut used a late first half run to take the lead at the half 36-31 over the Atlanta Dream. Connecticut has done an outstanding job of controlling Atlanta's fast break as the game has turned into a slow walk it up affair.

Atlanta led 16-11 after one but couldn't find much offense in the second quarter as Angel McCoughtry was once again saddled to the bench with foul trouble. McCoughtry played only 10 minutes in the first half and was held scoreless going 0 for 4 from the floor. Sancho Lyttle led Atlanta in the first half with 10 points and Erika De Souza added eight. The Dream shot just 35 percent from the field in the first half.

Connecticut was led by Jones 10 points and Renee Montgomery's seven. Montgomery's three late in the second quarter gave Connecticut their first lead at 29-28. Tina Charles finished the half with three points and five rebounds.
