Dream Vs. Fever Score: Angel McCoughtry's 20 First Half Points Have Atlanta Leading Indiana 55-51 At Halftime

Angel McCoughtry rebounded from sub par Game 1 to score 20 first half points while helping the Atlanta Dream to a 55-51 halftime lead over the Indiana Fever. Atlanta shot 55 percent in the first half and held their own on the boards despite going with a small lineup in Erika De Souza's absence.

To replace De Souza, Marynell Meadors inserted Iziane Castro Marques into the starting lineup and the move ignited Atlanta's running game where the Dream outscored the Fever 18-6 in fast break points. Castro Marques finished the half with 13 points for the Dream.

Even with McCoughtry's outburst, Atlanta finds themselves only up four at halftime thanks to some hot shooting from the Fever. Katie Douglas made 5 of 8 shots including 4 of 4 from behind the arc for 14 first half points. WNBA MVP Tamika Catchings has eight points and four rebounds at the half.

Atlanta has to be concerned with its free throw shooting if this game remains close as the Dream only hit 8 of 15 attempts in the first half. Indiana turned the basketball over 13 times in the first half and will have to tighten up if they expect to escape with a victory.
