According to a Tweet from the Atlanta Hawks' VP of public relations, center Al Horford has decided to get surgery on the torn pectoral that he suffered in a loss to the Pacers on the road on Wednesday. Horford hopes that this surgery will help him make it back on the court before the end of the regular season.

Talked toHorford's current backups at center are Zaza Pachulia and Jason Collins and it's currently unclear as to whether or not the team will attempt to sign a center while Horford is out.
