The Atlanta Hawks led by as many as 10 points in the first half over the Toronto Raptors but will head into the intermission with a 50-45 lead.
Atlanta rebounded from a slow start thanks to the play of Josh Smith who finishes the half with 14 points and five rebounds. Smith is 7-9 from the field after hitting his first six attempts. Joe Johnson also had a productive half finishing with 10 points, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Jeff Teague had nine points and four assists in the first half. Atlanta hit 47 percent of its shots in the first half but committed only three turnovers.
Leandro Barbosa provided a spark for the Raptors in the second quarter scoring 10 of his team-high 13 points in the quarter. Jose Calderon has 11 points and seven assists. Toronto actually out shot Atlanta in the first half hitting 51 percent of its shots but hasn't been able to overcome 10 first half turnovers.
