Hawks Vs. Heat Score: Atlanta Hanging Tough Trailing 50-47 At Halftime

The Atlanta Hawks utilized a zone defense and got a buzzer beating three-pointer from Joe Johnson to close the half trailing the Miami Heat 50-47.

Atlanta's zone defense was able to slow down the Heat who were forced to settle for some long jump shots. Once the Hawks started attacking the basket, they started to cut into the Miami lead. Jeff Teague has been the facilitator with 13 points, two assists and two steals in the first half. Joe Johnson hit 5-7 shots and has 12 points at the break. Al Horford chipped in with 10 points including some tough moves inside.

LeBron James led the Heat with 14 points in the first half. Dwyane Wade added nine while Chris Bosh chipped in eight points. Atlanta was able to hold their own on the boards and forced Miami into nine turnovers. The Heat came in leading the NBA in fast-break points but only scored seven in the first half.
