Hawks Vs. Pistons Final Score: Atlanta Completes Comeback To Defeat Detroit In Overtime, 107-101

Joe Johnson lead all players with 30 points as the Atlanta Hawks needed overtime to dispatch of the Detroit Pistons, 107-101. Johnson scored 28 of his 30 points in the second half after only shooting one of nine and scoring two points in the first half.

Atlanta nearly did not make it to overtime as they trailed by six points with less than a minute left in the game, but Marvin Williams hit a three-pointer to cut the lead to three points with 33 seconds left. Then it was Johnson who stole the ball and hit a contested shot over Rodney Stuckey to force overtime with 1.9 seconds left.

The Hawks continued their hot streak in overtime by starting the extra frame on a 12-2 run to put the game away. Johnson was not the only scorer for the Hawks tonight, three other players scored in double figures with Williams contributing with 22, Josh Smith 19 and Zaza Pachulia scoring 16 points.

In this contest Johnson surpassed 14,000 points for his career.
