Heat Vs. Hawks: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade Both Battling Nagging Injuries

The Miami Heat will take on the Atlanta Hawks Thursday night at Philips Arena and two of their big three stars will be battling nagging injuries.

Dwyane Wade suffered a bruised foot in a win over Charlotte earlier this season and the injury forced him to miss Wednesday night's win over the Indiana Pacers. Wade's status for Thursday's game hasn't been determined.

"As much as I want to be out there, my team needs me to be Dwyane Wade and not somebody else on the floor, I know my feet are a big part of my game. I've got to get it taken care of."

LeBron James scored 33 points on Wednesday against Indiana but played through an ankle injury that he suffered in the third quarter. Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said that the Heat would see how James felt on Thursday before commenting about his status for the game.

"We will have to see, he has sprained that same ankle every year, he says at least one time a year."

Expect James to take the court tonight at Philips Arena but Wade's situation could be a little more up in the air as tip off approaches. If Wade can't go, then James Jones is expected to get the start for the Heat.
