The Atlanta Hawks could have just played their worst half of the young season and trail the Miami Heat 54-49 even with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in street clothes.
The Hawks came out with no energy and have struggled to wake up as they allowed the Heat to hit 48 percent of their shots and build a 22-19 rebounding advantage. Miami has pounded the paint while Atlanta has done its fair share of settling for jump shots.
The only bright spot for the Hawks came from Willie Green who came off the bench and hit all five of his shots for 14 points. Josh Smith scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds before heading to the bench with two fouls. He was later joined by Al Horford and Joe Johnson who both also picked up two personals and sat out the end of the half.
Chris Bosh leads Miami with 13 points and six rebounds. Rookie Norris Cole scored nine points off the bench while Udonis Haslem finished with eight.
