Coming off of a big win on Saturday night, the Atlanta Hawks head out on a two game road trip beginning in New Jersey Monday night. The Hawks defeated the Chicago Bulls 109-94 on Saturday night and brought to an end a stretch of five games in six days.
Atlanta hopes to build off of the Chicago victory and not suffer a let down against a New Jersey team that they have defeated two times already this season.
"Whatever we did - we need to bottle it up and put it in a water bottle," point guard Jeff Teague said. "We really got out in transition. That's something that we haven't been doing lately - we've been a halfcourt team these last couple of games. (Saturday) we got out in transition and got some easy baskets.
The Hawks defeated New Jersey 106-70 on opening night in New Jersey and then again 105-98 three days later in Atlanta. Familiarity could aid the Nets if they don't come ready to play in this game.
Lately Josh Smith has been ready and is averaging 20 points and 11.3 rebounds while shooting 52 percent from the floor in his last four games.
