Joe Johnson Closing In On Atlanta Hawks Scoring Milestone

Atlanta Hawks all-star Joe Johnson needs just 13 points to become the seventh player in Atlanta Hawks history to score 10,000 career points. Johnson is currently seventh on the Hawks all-time list with 9,987 points and is just 595 points behind Kevin Willis for sixth place.

Here is a look at the Atlanta Hawks all-time scoring leaders:

1. Dominique Wilkins 23,292
2. Bob Pettit 20,880
3. Lou Hudson 16,049
4. Cliff Hagan 13,447
5. John Drew 12,621
6. Kevin Willis 10,582
7. Joe Johnson 9,987

If Johnson can stay healthy, then he would have a reasonable shot at climbing to No. 4 on the all time list. Often times the only numbers discussed with Johnson are associated with the mega $120 million dollar deal that he signed during the summer of 2010 free agent frenzy. What is often forgotten is that Johnson has had a solid career in a Hawks uniform and that he will be among the team's all-time greats.
