The Atlanta Hawks won't have a lot of time to dwell on Tuesday's 86-78 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Their five-game road trip continues on Wednesday night with a stop in Phoenix. For the Suns the game is the final of their first back-to-back-to-back set of games this season.
Alvin Gentry rested both Steve Nash and Grant Hill in Tuesday's loss to the Denver Nuggets. Both are expected to return to the lineup against the Hawks on Wednesday. Nash was the catalyst for the Suns in an earlier win over the Hawks at Philips Arena where he scored 24 points and handed out 11 assists.
Atlanta missed a golden opportunity in Los Angeles on Tuesday night where they had a solid defensive performance against the Lakers go for naught thanks to poor shooting and untimely turnovers. Atlanta shot a season-worst 34.4 percent on Tuesdday and missed 12 of 20 shots at the rim against the Lakers.
Atlanta has dropped four consecutive games to the Suns and has lost its last four trips to the desert.
