NBA Standings 2012: Hawks In A Battle For Second Place In Southeast Division

The Hawks are going to be challenging the Magic for the second spot in the Southeast division and the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Atlanta Hawks were recently in a position to challenge for the Southeast title, but they're in a funk and have lost five of their last eight games, also losing two of three against the division-leading Miami Heat. The Hawks are now neck and neck with the Orlando Magic for the second spot in the division.

As for the Eastern conference playoff race, the Hawks are currently sitting at the No. 5 spot and are 1.5 games out of the No. 3 spot, which is held by Philadelphia 76ers, and one game ahead of the No. 6-seeded Indiana Pacers.
