After returning from a successful 4-1 road trip, the Atlanta Hawks prepare to open a four-game home stand beginning Thursday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Hawks are looking for their seventh straight home win and have defeated the Grizzlies five-straight times at Philips Arena.
Atlanta closed out its road trip on Tuesday with a 100-77 win over the Toronto Raptors. Joe Johnson led Atlanta with a game-high 30 points and the Hawks remain undefeated at 11-0 when he scores more than 20.
Memphis snapped a four-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 100-97 overtime win over the Denver Nuggets. The Grizzlies are struggling to score points particularly on the road where they are averaging only 85.8 per game. Rudy Gay scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the win over the Nuggets but was held to just one point and without a field goal the previous night in a loss to San Antonio.
