Hawks Vs. Nuggets Score: Atlanta Trails Denver 64-55 At Halftime

The Atlanta Hawks got into a shootout with the Nuggets Tuesday night and trail 64-55 at halftime. Pushing the pace might not be the best strategy given the high altitude of the Pepsi Center and it will be interesting to see how the Hawks handle that in the second half.

Atlanta shot 45 percent from the field in the first half but lit it up from long range where they were 8-14. Joe Johnson leads the Hawks with 15 points and is 3-4 from beyond-the-arc. Josh Smith added 13 points, five rebounds and five assists while Marvin Williams once again came off the bench to score eight.

Ty Lawson has 12 points to lead the Nuggets while former Hawks forward Al Harrington came off the bench to score 11. Danilo Gallinari and Corey Brewer finished with 10 points each.

The Nuggets shot a blistering 59 percent from the field in the first half and were 5-11 from three-point range.
