The Atlanta Hawks recovered from a seven-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter by more than doubling up the New Jersey Nets 31-15 in the fourth quarter to win 93-84. The Hawks started fast in the fourth quarter by going on an 8-0 run to take a 70-69 lead that they would not give up.
Josh Smith had a huge game for the Hawks and had a game-high 30 points plus he had 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal. The Hawks also had four others score in double figures with Jeff Teague with 17, Joe Johnson with 16, Kirk Hinrich scored 14 and Marvin Williams scored 11 points.
The Nets offense played well for most of the game with Deron Williams leading the way for New Jersey with 20 points, but they went cold in the four quarter and shot 40 percent for the game and went 6-of-25 from three-point range.
