The Atlanta Hawks have suddenly won four of their last five games and will look to continue their good fortunes when they travel to South Beach on Wednesday night for a matchup with the Miami Heat.
Atlanta got its six-game road trip off to a good start on Tuesday with a 101-96 win over the Indiana Pacers. Josh Smith led the way once again finishing with 27 points and nine rebounds. Smith is averaging 23.4 points and 12.4 rebounds per game over the Hawks last five games. With Joe Johnson sidelined with a knee injury, the Hawks have made Smith the focal point at both ends of the floor and the move is paying off.
Miami beat down the New Jersey Nets Tuesday night 108-78. Dwyane Wade suffered an ankle injury during the first half of the blow out and didn't return for the second although it isn't thought to be serious. He is expected to play in Wednesday's game against the Hawks. Chris Bosh also made his return to the lineup on Tuesday after missing three games due to the death of his grandmother. Bosh finished with 20 points against the Nets.
