The Hawks have a chance to boost their hopes for home-court advantage in the first round when they travel to take on the Orlando Magic on Friday night.

The Hawks, Magic and Boston Celtics are all tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 34-24 record, so the winner of Friday's game will have a leg up. The Celtics beat the Hawks on Wednesday. The Magic have been off for the last five days, but center Dwight Howard still isn't expected to play due to back spasms. The Magic have lost three of their last four without Howard.

The Hawks have won five straight regular-season games against the Magic, including the previous two this season, which gives Atlanta the tiebreaker over Orlando. Josh Smith has averaged 22.5 points and 15.5 points in the two wins over the Magic this season.

Here's more information about the game:

Game Time: 7 p.m. ET

Location: Amway Center (Orlando, Fl.)
