Hawks Vs. Raptors: Atlanta Clinches Playoff Berth With 109-87 Win

One night after being run out of their own gym, the Atlanta Hawks returned the favor to the Toronto with a 109-87 win Monday night.

The win clinched a playoff berth for the Hawks and moved them into a three-way tie for fourth place in the Eastern Conference with the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic. The Celtics hold the tiebreaker for the final spot for home-court in the first round.

Ivan Johnson led the Hawks with 21 points off the bench. Johnson also had eight rebounds. Jeff Teague had a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists. Teague shot 6-for-11 and had just one turnover. Joe Johnson had 18 points and Marvin Williams had 16 points off the bench.

The Hawks led by three at halftime and finished the third quarter on a 12-3 run to take an 11 point lead after three quarters. They kept up the energy and outscored the Raptors 30-19 in the fourth quarter for the blowout victory.
