Celtics Vs. Hawks: Ray Allen Unlikely To Play In Game 1

While the Hawks have their own injury concerns the Celtics have a few of their own. It is looking more and more unlikely that Ray Allen will be available for Sunday's Game 1 as he is still battling the effects of an ankle injury according to WEEI's Paul Flannery.

Allen will make the trip to Atlanta, but it's looking less and less likely that he'll be able to play.

"Honestly I don't think he'll play [Sunday]," Doc Rivers said. "We'll find that out. He's just not moving well."

Allen also said that he would get surgery on the ankle tomorrow if not for the playoffs so anything that Celtics get from him may need to be viewed as a bonus. Avery Bradley replaced Allen off the bench but there is no doubt that Boston will miss Allen's long distance shooting if he is unable to play.
