Pistons Vs. Hawks Score: Jeff Teague Leads Atlanta To 52-43 Advantage At Halftime

The Atlanta Hawks rebounded from a slow start to the second quarter and finished the half on a 16-2 run to take a 52-43 lead into halftime against the Detroit Pistons.

After getting off to a good start the Hawks were outperformed by the Pistons' bench to start the second quarter forcing a time out from Larry Drew with 6:03 remaining and Atlanta down 38-32. Drew went back with his starting lineup and the results were much better as Atlanta closed the half on a 16-2 run behind strong play from Jeff Teague.

Teague leads the Hawks with 17 points including a lay in where he took the inbounds pass at mid-court with just three seconds remaining and weaved his way through the Pistons defense to lay it in at the halftime horn. Teague hit 7-11 shots in the first half and also handed out four assists.

Josh Smith continued his solid play with 11 points and seven rebounds at the intermission. Ivan Johnson added eight points and four boards off the bench while Joe Johnson has seven points and five assists.

Former Georgia Tech standout Will Bynum paced the Detroit comeback with nine points off the bench. Brandon Knight and Rodney Stuckey each have eight points at the break.
