In the final minutes of the first half of Game 3 between the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks, Hawks' forward Tracy McGrady appeared to tweak his right ankle while landing awkwardly after a three-point shot attempt and crumbled to the floor, needing help to get to the locker room to receive medical attention.
Prior to the start of the third quarter, Michael Cunningham of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that McGrady had sprained his ankle on the play, but also stated that he would return to play in the game.

McGrady had seemingly found a time machine prior to the second quarter of Game 3. The 32-year old vet exploded for 10 points in the second quarter alone, in addition to pulling down six boards and registering one assist in 16:43 of playing time.
