Hawks Vs. Celtics, Game 5 Score Update: Late 3-Pointers Leave Atlanta, Boston Tied At Halftime

With their backs against the wall, the Hawks have one more half to save their season. At halftime in Atlanta, the Hawks and Celtics are tied at 40. Boston has a 3-1 series lead.

It was an ugly half for the most part, with Boston shooting 38.5 percent from the floor at Atlanta shooting 35.7 percent. After scoring nine points in Game 4, Joe Johnson leads the Hawks with 11 points in the first half on Tuesday. Moving back into the starting lineup, Marvin Williams has eight points. Jeff Teague also has eight points. Making his first start since suffering a pectoral injury in January, Al Horford has two points and six rebounds.

The Celtics opened the game on an 11-3 run as Atlanta had trouble holding into the ball. A buzzer-beating jumper by Kevin Garnett gave Boston a 21-15 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Boston extended its lead to 10 points early in the second quarter, but the Hawks fought back. Four straight three-pointers in the final 2:02 gave Atlanta a 40-37 lead before Rajon Rondo tied the game with a buzzer-beating three. Brandon Bass leads the Celtics with 10 points at the break.

Here is Rondo's game-tying three-pointer.
