NBA Mock Draft: Will Barton To The Hawks At No. 23

We are closing in on the 2012 NBA Draft and the Atlanta Hawks are continuing to workout a variety of prospects. With only six players under contract for next season, Atlanta has many different directions they could go when it comes to the draft and there isn't a consensus when it comes to prognosticators. Sam Amick projects Memphis shooting guard Will Barton to the Hawks in his latest mock draft.

On Barton Amick writes:

Barton continues to do well in the predraft process, and I was told that he played well in Saturday's workout in Denver. He remains one of my sleepers, in large part because there aren't many players with the ability to affect games in so many ways. The Conference USA Player of the Year averaged 18 points (on 50.9 percent shooting from the field and 34.6 percent from three-point range), 8.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals last season.

With the loss of Kirk Hinrich and Willie Green to free agency the Hawks have a need for a reserve shooting guard and Barton's complete offensive game would seem to fit that bill nicely. He was in Atlanta for a draft workout on Wednesday.
