With Rick Sund's time as Hawks general manager coming too an end soon, Atlanta has been looking for a replacement.
One man the Hawks have spoken to is Danny Ferry, according to ESPN.com's Chris Broussard.
Hawks have spoken to Danny Ferry about becoming their new GM, sources say. Rick Sund's contract up 6/30 & he could be consultant or leave...

Ferry currently is the vice president of basketball operations for the San Antonio Spurs. After retiring as a player from the Spurs in 2003, he joined management. From 2005-2010, Ferry was the GM of the Cleveland Cavaliers, helping put talent around LeBron James and taking the Cavs to unprecedented heights. He resigned in 2010 as the Cavs remade the organization hoping to keep James. We know how that went.
