Before joining the San Antonio Spurs in 2010, Ferry was the general manager of the Cleveland Cavailers from 2005-2010. During that time span, the Cavaliers reached their first NBA Finals in franchise history. The Cavaliers went 272-138 (.663) during his time as general manager.
Ferry's first order of business for the Hawks will be the NBA draft. Atlanta hold the No. 23 and No. 43 pick in Thursday's draft. During his time with the Spurs, the organization used several picks on foreign players.
