2012 NBA Free Agency: Anthony Randolph Meets With Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks recently had a face-to-face meeting with free agent forward Anthony Randolph and he could be a potential targe once signings begin on Wednesday.

Randolph is talented but somewhat of an enigma. He was selected with the 14th pick by the Golden State Warriors in the 2008 NBA draft but had a hard time getting on the court for the Warriors. From there he moved to the Knicks where he quickly fell out of the rotation and was traded to Minnesota.

Randolph was productive for the Timberwolves after the trade averaging 11.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in 23 games to close out the 2011 season. Those numbers slipped back to 7.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in 34 games in 2012. Still Randolph is just 22 years old and at 6-foot-10 could still be an interesting prospect with whom the Hawks would not have to break the bank to sign.
