NBA Free Agency 2012: Jerry Stackhouse Reaches Verbal Commitment With Brooklyn Nets

Jerry Stackhouse agreed to join the Brooklyn Nets in a one-year deal worth $1.3 million, according to a report from ESPN's Chad Ford. Stackhouse spent last season with the Hawks and while he's past the point of providing quality minutes for an NBA squad, his veteran leadership and experience is something that could benefit most teams, especially ones that don't have a lot of it.

Stackhouse will turn 38 early in the season and is entering his 18th season in the league. He averaged 3.5 points in about nine minutes a game last season with Atlanta.
