The Atlanta Hawks brought their record to 2-2 in NBA Summer League action from Las Vegas as they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 67-61 on Wednesday night.
John Jenkins, the Hawks first round pick from Vanderbilt, continued his strong play as he led Atlanta in scoring with 21 points. Jenkins also registered three rebounds and shot 8-11 from the field and 3-5 from behind the three-point line. Rookie free-agent, Mike Scott who played his college ball at the University of Virginia, contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.
For the Mavericks, Jae Crowder who played collegiately at Marquette scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Bernard James who played at Florida State contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Atlanta will play their final summer league contest on Thursday against the Portland Trailblazers.
