NBA Free Agency 2012: Chicago Bulls Offer Kirk Hinrich A Deal

The Chicago Bulls are in a state of flux with Derrick Rose possibly out for all of next season and too much money tied up to add a significant piece. So while the big names are off their radar, Atlanta Hawks guard Kirk Hinrich is not, according to CSNChicago.com.

It's been reported that the organization reached out to former Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich at the outset of free agency and according to a person with knowledge of the situation, offered a deal at or just above the veteran's minimum and below the "mini" mid-level exception, which could be under [Hinrich's] desired price range

Hinrich spent his first seven seasons with the Bulls, averaging in double-figures in scoring in all but one of those seasons.

Last season with Atlanta, Hinrich averaged a career-low 6.6 points per game and 2.8 assists per game.
