Hawks Free Agency 2012: Atlanta No Longer In Dwight Howard Sweepstakes, According To Report

It doesn't look like Dwight Howard will be returning home to Atlanta to play for the Hawks any time in the foreseeable future, as it's been reported. Most NBA voices would explain that Howard has one team he wants to play for and that's the Brooklyn Nets, who just retained the services of Deron Williams with a max-contract and picked up Joe Johnson's deal from the Hawks last week.

That means the other teams in the NBA don't have the same level of interest in Howard as they did before, since he doesn't seem to have much of an interest in them.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that in the latest proposal the Magic would send Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark to the Nets in exchange for Lopez, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Luke Walton and up to four first-round draft picks.

The Lakers are also in the running to trade for Howard, but those conversations are not nearly as vibrant.
