Score: Pittsburgh Penguins Down Atlanta Thrashers 4-2

Two slightly soft goals from Ondrej Pavelec and a hat trick from Evgeny Malkin sealed the Thrashers fate tonight, losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins and falling to 7-7-3 on the season. The two Thrashers goals came from Brent Sopel (his first as a Thrasher) and Niclas Bergfors:

The Thrashers’ next game is tomorrow at 5:00 against the Washington Capitals. The Caps are 12-4-1 and on top of the Southeast Division, but the Thrashers have taken five out of six points from the division leaders so far this season.
