Coach Craig Ramsay and Andrew Ladd Both Speak About Today's Captaincy Announcement

Via Ben Wright from the Blueland Blog, the first tidbit is Ramsay speaking about Ladd as captain:

Ben has a good point when he points out that Tobias Enstrom and Dustin Byfuglien are the assistant captains “at this time.” There might be a home and away rotation as there have been in the past coming up. As of right now, though, I appreciate just having the three letters out there on the ice to streamline the leadership situation. Also, Ramsay makes mention that some teams might choose the best player on the ice as captain, but that’s not the path that the Thrashers need to take. He said something very similar to that at the first Q&A session before the season started. The Thrashers have flirted with having the “best player” named captain, and the results haven’t been what the team needed.

Also, Andrew Ladd was on XM Radio’s Power Play show today to chat about his new position, playing for the Thrashers, and how to fix their home record.
