↵Football
↵Noon ESPN Illinois Fighting Illini at Michigan
Wolverines, noon, ESPN: We all know what's going to happen here. During pregame warmups, Ron Zook and Rich Rodriguez will switch hats when nobody's looking. Because why would anybody be looking? After both teams lose today, their respective athletic directors will huff and puff about needing to fire the football coach, and then an underling will say, "Sir? It ... it looks like you already did." And then the AD says, "Of course I did! Now get back to work!"
↵No. 25 N.C. State Wolfpack at Clemson
Tigers, noon, WUPA: As you just witnessed, I really have to go for it to wrangle a paragraph out of these noon games. The 'Pack is the only ACC team I'd really care to see playing in Charlotte for the conference title, and something tells me that's one team more than the average American. Someone should set up a deal where the SEC's third-place finisher gets to replace whichever ACC division winner is least impressive.
↵Florida Gators at Vanderbilt
Commodores, 12:21, WPCH: The Gators need to win to ensure next week's game against South Carolina is indeed the SEC East championship game, so this matchup does include actual football content of note. This is a road game for Florida, meaning after the game it will be TIME TO FLY back home.
↵Idaho St. Bengals at Georgia
Bulldogs, 12:30, WSB: This is our team, and I can't think of a thing to say about this game. We'll throw some updates at it here, but let's keep it real. All of us are more interested in Cam Newton's calisthenics routine than this pastry shop.
↵No. 21 Baylor Bears at No. 17 Oklahoma State
Cowboys, 12:30, Fox Sports South: It's not every week you get a top-25 barnburner at noon, so let's treasure this one. With both teams scoring every 11 seconds, this is sure to bleed into the
↵North Carolina Tar Heels at No. 24 Florida St. Seminoles, 3:30, ABC: FSU tries to hang on in the ACC Atlantic after coughing up a late loss to N.C. State. Absolutely nobody will watch this, because we will all be on CBS and Google.
↵No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide at No. 10 LSU
Tigers, 3:30, CBS: For a while now, we've circled the Iron Bowl between Bama and Auburn as the SEC West's final showdown. But overlooking Les Miles sounds like the only activity more insane than actually being Les Miles. GAME OF THE DAY!
↵No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs at No. 5 Utah Utes, CSTV, 3:30: What's a CSTV? Be glad it's on CSTV. It was only going to be on Mountain West TV. Let me just say this. You want to watch this game, which may be the most BCS-impactful game of the year so far. You have Google in your hands. Surely Google can tell you more about CSTV and today's TCU-Utah game.
↵Hawaii Warriors at No. 4 Boise State Broncos, 3:30, ESPN3
↵Washington Huskies at No. 1 Oregon Ducks, 3:30, ESPN3
↵No. 7 Nebraska Cornhuskers at Iowa State Cyclones, 3:30, ESPN3
↵No. 18 Arkansas Razorbacks at No. 19 South Carolina
Gamecocks, 7, ESPN: A Gamecocks win coupled with a Vandy upset of Florida gives the East to Steve Spurrier outright, just so we're aware that there is actually something at play here. Otherwise, Marcus Lattimore! Ryan Mallett! Back-to-back SEC players of the week, who both earned their honors while playing the Dawgs!
↵No. 8 Oklahoma Sooners at Texas A&M
Aggies, 7, Fox Sports South: This game is on.
↵Texas Longhorns at Kansas State
Wildcats, 8, ESPN2: Slim pickings in the usually marquee 8 spot. It's sad Texas and K-State are playing here instead of the actually interesting Baylor game, but that's called economics. It's actually not, but people say that kind of thing sometimes.
↵No. 15 Arizona Wildcats at No. 13 Stanford
Cardinal, 8, ABC: Tonight's only good game with significant national impact, and I'm so tired of typing. Just watch this game.
↵No. 12 Missouri Tigers at Texas Tech Red Raiders, 8, ESPN3
↵Arizona State Sun Devils at USC
Trojans, 10:30, Fox Sports South: Much like noon Big Ten games, late Pac-10 games are only worth mentioning because they're the only thing on the dial. Lane Kiffin's ultimate evil plan: does it involve forcing the whole Eastern time zone to fall asleep to him every Saturday? Is this how he'll be named Dallas Cowboys head coach next week and governor of Massachusetts the next?
