Thrashers' Alexander Burmistrov And Islanders' John Tavares Fight

Honestly, fight is such a strong word for this.

Tavares is, more than likely, frustrated with the situation that the Islanders have found themselves in. Winless in 18 of their last 19 games, the team doesn't look to be improving. Last night's game and the way that they let a 2-0 lead slip away shows that this season will be another long one for Islanders' fans and players alike. What Tavares did here is perfectly understandable, and for his sake thank God he did it with someone that's his size:

Alexander Burmistrov

#8 / Center / Atlanta Thrashers

5-11

John Tavares

#91 / Center / New York Islanders

6-0

Well, ok, maybe not. Which makes the fact that Alexander Burmistrov held his own and then took Tavares down probably that much more frustrating for the Islanders' star center.
