Armed Forces Bowl, Army Black Knights vs. SMU Mustangs, noon, ESPN: Lunchtime college football on a Thursday! What a country! Starting to swoon for the rhythms of bowl season all over again. I'd wager the BCS is least unpopular at the moment when America looks up and realizes there's a college football game between two totally opposite teams on at lunchtime on a Thursday. Live coverage and previews!

↵

Pinstripe Bowl, Kansas St. Wildcats vs. Syracuse Orange, 3:20, ESPN: The Yankee Stadium thing, and the return of Bill Snyder to bowl season. Less geeked about 3:20 college football on a Thursday, because what the hell is 3:20? Yankee Bowl previews and live coverage.

↵

Music City Bowl, North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Tennessee Volunteers, 6:40, ESPN: The first SEC bowl and fourth ACC bowl and one of two matchups between our fair conferences. Two programs deserving of your holiday season sympathy, no matter how badly you usually hate one or both. Previews! Coverage!

↵

Holiday Bowl, Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Washington Huskies, 10, ESPN: A holiday, to most people, means a day off work. To kick back and take it easy. You see where I'm going with this. Nebraska is going to kick Washington in the face with its boot made of Roy Helu Jr.'s speed. The Holiday Bowl theme song: sung to the tune of Lindsey Buckingham's "Holiday Road." Prepare for the gruesome spectacle here.
