Atlanta Thrashers' Evander Kane Out With Unspecified Upper Body Injury; Ben Eager In

Evander Kane sustained an “unspecified mid-body injury” as Ben Wright of the Blueland Blog puts it. In today’s world of nebulous press releases, that’s about as clear as you can get. Ben Eager will be back in tonight on the left wing, being centered by Patrice Cormier with Chris Thorburn on the right.

According to Ben, tonight’s lines will look like this:

Ladd- Little- Bergfors
Modin- Peverley- Stewart
Boulton- Burmistrov- Antropov
Eager- Cormier- Thorburn

The top two lines are sharp scoring lines – the second being centered by an individual who has three goals in his last two games. Burmistrov is looking to restore his scoring touch, and that might happen playing on a line with Nik Antropov.

The size of the fourth line is impressive, though I am surprised to not see Eager and Boulton’s places switched. I’m going to assume this is to help Eager ease into his return to the line-up.
