NHL Standings, Southeast Division: Thrashers Tied With Hurricanes, But Probably Not For Long

As we saw last night, apparently the Thrashers really want to find new and exciting ways of losing hockey games. Blowing a two goal lead and losing despite scoring four goals and having Toronto take seven penalties is certainly something that hasn't happened often this year - much like winning the past twenty-one games. Five wins (two in regulation) in that stretch of time should have the Thrashers out of the playoff picture, but look! Still tied for eighth place for right now.

The scary thing is that the Buffalo Sabres are five points behind the Thrashers for 9th place with five games in hand on them. If the Thrashers don't start winning soon, their fall from grade might be a bit worse than it has been as of late.
