Other Thrashers Players Haven't Heard Relocation Warning, According To Report

Shortly after Toronto radio host Greg Brady reported an Atlanta Thrashers player had been told by someone to ready for a franchise relocation, Aaron Portzline, who covers the Columbus Blue Jackets for the Columbus Dispatch-Journal, said he's "talked to a few players/staff," and that "so far they've heard nothing. All is being kept very quiet."

As I noted in our last update, that individual who reportedly warned the unnamed Thrashers player about a potential move wasn't necessarily a member of the Thrashers organization. It could've been just about anybody.

Consider this a faint glimmer of hope that the sale and move to Winnipeg aren't totally wrapped up already. If Portzline's tweet is accurate, it would seem unlikely that the relocation notice came from anybody with the official capacity to be involved in the decision to move anyway.
