Atlanta Thrashers Not Lost Cause Yet, Says NHL's Bill Daly

Bill Daly has been making the media rounds, and his most recent stop is the home of the Jets Meter (which is a little too close to “Drop the Puck” for my taste), TSN. Daly had this to say.

“We’ve been working with local ownership for quite a long time now, in terms of trying to find a new local ownership in that market,” Daly told Jim Tatti and Scott MacArthur on TSN Radio’s Game Night on Thursday. "Luckily, that has gone largely under the radar screen, but the fact of the matter is that it has been transpiring.

“We believe what we say, which is that we’re committed to the markets in which we put our franchises. We should make all reasonable efforts to keep franchises there, but there comes a point in time where if those efforts aren’t successful, you move on.”

The reason that most of what Daly and the league has worked on has gone under the radar is thanks to news organizations such as TSN who have refused to do proper research in what has been going on and who have relied on Mr. Unnamed Sources for all of their information. When you’re too busy to report actual information because you’re falling all over unconfirmed reports, you might want to look at your methods of reporting.
