Potential Thrashers, Hawks Buyer Meets With Organization, According To Report

After a pair of reports have placed the on-the-market value for the Atlanta Hawks at $240 million and the Atlanta Thrashers at $110 million, 680 The Fan radio host John Kincade's "The Balkan" entity reportedly held a meeting at Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek to discuss a purchase of the two teams and, evidently, the Philips Arena lease. Kincade: "If all three are sold, it will be to him."

What about Tom Glavine, Anson Carter and all the other parties reportedly interested in keeping the Thrashers in Atlanta and out of Winnipeg? Well, who knows. The Atlanta Spirit Group is doing a wonderful job of communicating with fans its intentions here and its commitment to the city.

Based on everything of which we've been made aware, there actually is a serious prospective buyer involved in this process to whom Kincade is referring in his page-turner tweets.
