Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith is seeking a trade from the team, according to report.

According to Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski, Atlanta Hawks power forward Josh Smith is still seeking a trade from the team, and in this topsy-turvy limbo time before the start of the shortened season, he may just get his wish.

Smith is under the impression that he's "run his course" with the team and is in need of a fresh start, even though the Hawks have made the playoffs the last few years running. Executives around the league had been told that essentially every player is available for deals, per GM Rick Sund according to Wojnarowski. There were some hot and heavy discussions between Atlanta and the Timberwolves for around the 2011 draft, though they ultimately were fruitless talks.

As Peachtree Hoops points out, Smith turns 26 on Monday, and remains one of the most productive players in the NBA. Seems like a guy the team would want to have around:

One would think that a franchise would do everything in its power to find the right combination of coaching to maximize Smith's talents rather than throwing in the towel and dealing him away in his prime, especially if such a deal brings back 75 cents on the dollar.

If Smith and the Hawks can't reconcile their difference he may well be wearing a different uniform once the season starts. Hopefully it won't have to come to that.

The 6'3" 240 pound Charles has been a popular target for sophomore QB Aaron Murray all season, hauling in 40 catches thus far for 530 yards and 5 touchdowns on the year. In his three years with the school he has 89 catches for 1326 yards and 10 touchdowns, so he has obviously done most of his damage this season.

Charles is also a finalist for the John Mackey Award, given annually to the top tight end in college football. Given his size and talent it's not surprise he is leaving early, though I'm sure many a Bulldog fan would have loved to see him come back for his senior year.

The freshman running back has been a sparkplug for UGA's offense so far this year, starting seven games for the Bulldogs while leading the team with 832 yards rushing with five touchdowns along with four 100 yards games to boot.

Crowell originally injured the ankle on his second carry from scrimmage against Kentucky back on Nov. 19, and did not play against Georgia Tech last week after favoring it in pre-game warmups. If the Bulldogs have any chance of taking out the Tigers, they will need Crowell suited up and ready to go at the Georgia Dome this Saturday.

The entire field is finally on the course for the final round of the PGA Championship as third round leaders Jason Dufner and Brendan Steele try to hang on for their first major victory. There already has been some shifting atop the leaderboard only a few holes into their round as the race for the Wanamaker trophy is at a full sprint to the finish line.

Steele had an unfortunate bogey on the first hole, moving him back to six-under par and one behind the leaders through two holes. Dufner remains at seven-under through two, while veteran Scott Verplank has moved to six-under as well through three holes with a birdie on the 2nd. Andres Hansen has moved to four-under through four holes, while Nick Watney is two-under for the day through seven holes, moving him to three-under for the week and four shots behind the leaders.

With things bunching up around the leaders and almost the entire field left to play the difficult stretch of the 15-18th holes, it literally is still anyone’s game who is around the top of the leaderboard.

As the final round of play continues to roll on at the PGA Championship, the number of players in red numbers is growing by the minute, with two of those players being veterans Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia. Both men started in the black before their rounds began, and have used some early birdies to head in the right direction on the leaderboard at the Atlanta Athletic Club.

Sergio moved into a tie for 16th for the tournament with three birdies on his front nine today, including back-to-back birds on the 5th and 6th. He birdied the 9th after bogeying the 8th, and began his second nine with a par on the 10th.

As for Phil, he carded a two-under 33 on the front nine with seven pars and two birdies, back-to-back on the 5th and 6th like Garcia. The shorter course setup on Sunday seems to be playing into the PGA’s hand, as they wanted as many guys as possible to shoot lower scores, making the final day of the tourney just that much more exciting. Hopefully that trend continues throughout the rest of the day.

The leaders are only minutes away from teeing off in the final round of the PGA Championship at the Atlanta Country Club, and boy is it going to be a good one. Auburn alumni Jason Dufner and Brendan Steele hold onto their narrow lead at seven-under par over guys like veteran Scott Verplank and youngster Keegan Bradley, while the guys on the course are making big moves, trying to move up the leaderboard and fatten up their paychecks a bit.

Austrailian Robert Allenby is having one of the best rounds of the day so far, currently at five-under for his round after only 13 holes. Allenby’s great round has moved him all the way from a tie for 43rd place up to 8th place on the leaderboard.

Georgia native Bubba Watson is another player making a charge, moving up 23 spots on the leaderboard thus far on Sunday, currently three-under par through nine holes and one-under for the tournament. He currently resides tied for 14th place.

The fourth and final round of the PGA Championship is underway at Atlanta Athletic Club , but the leaders are still yet to tee off this Sunday. Auburn alum Jason Dufner sits atop the leaderboard for now, but still has a number of players waiting right behind him. Nevertheless, the players on the course are making moves up and down the leaderboard, including a few of the Gerogia-born local boys out on the track.

Georgia native Bubba Watson is just a few holes into his final round, and is even par through three thus far, leaving him at two-over par for the tournament. Georgia resident Zach Johnson is even par through 13 holes today, remaining six-over for the tournament, while Georgia-Tech alum Bryce Molder is also even par for his round today, leaving him at three-over par. Unfortunately in one of the worst rounds of the day, Georgia native Davis Love III is struggling though at eight-over par on his round today and 13-over for the tournament.

The PGA is using the shortest layout of the week on Sunday at 7,236 yards, so there might be a few low rounds out there to be had still.
