As the Atlanta Braves head into the offseason, they have some significant roster decisions to make. They must replace Chipper Jones' production at third base and decide whether they want to retain outfielder Michael Bourn and catcher Brian McCann. Jones is retiring, Bourn is a free agent and McCann has a $12 million option for 2013 that the club could pick up.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien has some thoughts about what the Braves should do (via MLB Daily Dish). O'Brien thinks the team should pick up McCann's option, move Martin Prado to third base and look to acquire a left fielder through either a trade or free agency. Minnesota's Josh Willingham is a trade target, O'Brien suggests, and he also wonders if Nick Swisher or Cody Ross might be free agent options. O'Brien says he'd also try to sign Angel Pagan to play center field for less than what it would cost to retain Bourn.
