The Atlanta Braves have been given 10-to-1 odds to win the World Series by Bovada, tied for the seventh highest odds among the 10 2012 MLB playoff teams.
The Texas Rangers -- who like the Braves have to win a Wild Card game -- are the the overall favorites at 9-to-2, followed by the New York Yankees at 5-to-1 and Cincinnati Reds at 11-to-2, which is perhaps surprisingly higher than the Major League-best Washington Nationals at 6-to-1.
Rounding out the odds for the rest of the field are Detroit Tigers at 13-to-2, the San Francisco Giants at 7-to-1, the Oakland Athletics at 10-to-1, the Baltimore Orioles at 14-to-1 and the St. Louis Cardinals at 14-to-1.
The Braves host the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Wild Card game Friday at 5:07 p.m. ET, with the winner advancing to face the Washington Nationals in the traditional best-of-5 Wild Card round and the loser going home.
