2012 MLB Playoffs streaming: Braves fans can follow game online

MLB.com is offering affordable companion coverage of most playoff games

Atlanta Braves fans who might be at work or unable to watch the team's TBS telecast of Friday's NL Wild Card game could be in luck -- if they're willing to play $4.99

MLB.com is offering live online companion coverage of MLB playoff games with a package called Postseason.TV. The games only include the ones broadcast by TBS and MLB Network, which include both of the new Wild Card games, select division series games and the American League Championship Series. The games aren't a live stream of the network broadcasts, rather companion coverage of the network coverage.

Perhaps the best part of the deal is that the games aren't subject to Major League Baseball's ultra-restrictive blackout rules, as Braves fans all over the South know can prevent the team from being seen even if the game isn't on locally.

Kris Medlen (perhaps baseball's best pitcher) leads Atlanta against the St. Louis Cardinals Friday at 5:05 p.m. in Atlanta in a winner-take-all game.
