A last-second victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday kept the Atlanta Falcons undefeated for the 2012 season. On Sunday, they will try to improve to 5-0 for the first time in team history with a win over the Washington Redskins.
The road game for Atlanta should be one that is filled with offense. The Falcons are third in the NFL in scoring offense at 31 points per game. Washington is right behind them with 30.8 ppg.
Defense is a different story, though. While the Falcons are holding teams to 19 ppg, Washington is giving up 30.8 ppg, the sixth worst in the NFL.
If Atlanta is going to win, its defense will need to play better against Robert Griffin III than it did against Cam Newton. The second-year quarterback threw for 215 yards and ran for 86 yards on Sunday against Atlanta.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
